Besides reviewing the College’s current hiring, tenure, and promotion guidelines, meetings with members of all departments and/or divisions were conducted to learn about inclusion and equity in teaching/mentoring, scholarship, and service that are discipline-specific practices, as well as to gain perspectives on how the College’s reward structures might better foster an inclusive teaching and work environment. The information gained from these discussions are being used to revamp the retention, tenure, and promotion guidelines.
